Scholarships for Children of Single Parents 2/1/2020

MANY OF THESE ARE STATE-SPECIFIC.

As statistics show that the number of children living in single-parent households has doubled since 1960, there’s a growing number of scholarships for children of single parents available to reduce the financial burden of college.

Today, 15 million American children are being raised without a father and another five million are living without a mother. Whether children have lost the support of another parent due to divorce, addiction, incarceration, or death, it may seem impossible to save enough money for higher education. After all, single parent families tend to have significantly lower incomes and nearly 38 percent live below the poverty line.
